An Allergist / immunologist is a physician. They are specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage allergies, asthma, immunologic disorders including primary immunodeficiency disorders. These conditions span all ages.

Education :

To become an allergist / immunologist in the united states you are required to have at least an additional 9 years of training beyond a bachelor’s degree. After completing medical school and graduating with a medical degree, physicians undergo three years of training in internal medicine or pediatrics and pass the exam of either the American board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Pediatrics .

Reflection :

No I wouldn’t like to become an allergist / immunologist because that just isn’t my type of thing to do. I mean it seems nice to become one but it just doesn’t attract me !
